During the pandemic my husband and I started working from home and our current condo did not have the space to accommodate a home office, so we decided to sell. We chose to list with The Duryea Team due to their many years of experience. Shortly after our first meeting they had our property promptly on the market. We received multiple offers and got under contract very quickly, it was a very smooth process. We were in no rush to buy a new home due to the limited inventory and competitive market, so we planned to rent something while we took our time shopping. Then before even closing on the sale of our property my husband and I found the perfect home for us. We wanted to put in an offer immediately, but we were not prepared. The lender we had planned to use was not able to quickly process our loan, so The Duryea Team connected us with a lender who was able to expedite our pre-approval process and our eventual mortgage. Many other also were interested in the same property so we ended up in a multiple offer situation, but The Duryea Team was there guide us through the stressful process and at the end we had an accepted offer. With two escrows now happening at the same time things can get confusing but The Duryea Team kept in contact with daily updates so we would know how both our sale and purchase were progressing. We interviewed Donna, along with two other agents that were recommended by friends who had recently sold homes. During the initial interview she was knowledgeable about the local market, was very personable and honest, and had the substantial organizational weight of Elite Pacific Properties behind her. We selected Donna 9 months before we actually listed the property, but she had it as a pocket listing during that time. 3 months before listing we met with Donna and she introduced us to her new partner Sunita, this was done with the understanding that, if we didn't "click" with Sunita, Donna would handle us solo. Sunita was equally as personable and professional, so we now had a team working to sell our home. (With a bonus of Donna's husband Randall who is a great photographer and drone video guy.) We all worked on the listing description together and listed it Jan. 10th, 2018. One of them was present at every showing, and promoted it vigorously via every available avenue. Her and her husband Randall even came and helped us host our Aloha (goodbye) Party after escrow closed, fulfilling a promise made months before.

I decided to sell my rental house in Volcano but had some concerns; my house was rented, I knew that Volcano could be a difficult market, I lived on the Mainland and it was the holidays.
